My guess on Amp 14
  • Not balanced output, just a 4.4mm SE internal wiring.
    • Or some kind of hybrid
  • 2nd 4.4mm port is balanced line out with tube bypass.
    • Or with NuTube as a pre-amp
    • Or none of the above and behaves similar to Amp 13

AMP14 is Balanced out both for phone out and line out. It is a true line out.

The face plate for the AMP12 works for AMP14, for those who have the DX320editionX. I am sorry but we do not have extra liquid metal face plates.

Thanks Paul! Nice !!! It is fully balanced !!

Also Nice to have Amp12 faceplate to work with it, edition X can enjoy this way as well !!

I was about to suggest to take amp13 liquid metal faceplate and Dremel it to widen those ports, but we have a more elegant solution to just use amp12 faceplate instead :D

Thanks for the info, is the line out straight from DAC module (just like Amp 12) or does the line out also include NuTube?

True line out should be with Tube as a line buffer. The Amp12 has TI OpAmps as Line buffers. Nothing is straight out from DAC

So, you have 2 options, Amp12 with Solid state line out or Amp12 with Korg Tube line out

Ah ok, did not know the line buffers were on the amp module instead of the main board.

Edit - Actually I think this means Amp 12 for ss line out and Amp 14 for tube line out.

Wow!! Finally !! Nutube with 4.4mm!!! Must be with balanced output and judging from single tube , it must be using solid differential stage on the output

So 2 ports for 4.4mm must have mean either a High and Low like amp13, or a Line Out and Phone out like amp12 ! Either way, super exciting
I thought for true balanced to exist with tubes there needs to be two of them, apparently i'm wrong but, can i ask for aayman terms explanation please?

Differential stages = it Can sum Balanced into Single ended, and or Single ended to be Balanced.

1 single Korg tubes = Single ended. So in this case, amp14 is using the Single Ended source from Korg to output Balanced output

Sometimes it works better.
All Violectric amps are using single ended input (converting any balanced input into single ended) into differential balanced amplifier for a balanced output.
