I got the AMP12EXN2 4625 from Steve at NPaudio.co.uk, and let me tell you, it completely breathed life into my HD6xx. It sounds amazing! I love it.

He certainly does beautiful work (leaving aside the sound)!

This just dropped today. It is a great album (insomuch as the content), but it sounds a bit over produced to my ears. Having said that, I am enjoying it either way on hi-res FLAC from: Mediamonkey 5 (which looks a lot like Roon and can now play DSD) > Asus ROG Strix Scar III > DX300 > Amp12 card > Hartaudio Modular Cable (4.4mm Balanced) > Focal Elegia > Dekoni Custom Lambskin Stelia Pads

Ironically, track number 4 sounds like old Black Sabbath. Maybe not so ironic since this track features Tony Iommi.

They wrote it is for their 10 years of daps and for their 16 years in business. Now it was released months ago, that would not have made sense.
I disagree. We are still in same year. dx320 was released just over 2months ago... they could literally easily stated exactly same sales post 2+months ago...
*edit: Ok 3 months...

I agree with you on this. However, iBasso has pretty much always released their "collector's" devices AFTER their initial release of the product. Apparently, it is just their routine in how they do things?!

From what iBasso posted on FB, it seems it took some time to get even 500 cases. I also imagine Covid has messed things up but they also expressed that the release is for 16 years and 10 years of dap manufacture. Both are the reason for the editionX. I don't really care. It looks very good. I may or may not get one but I know that I would like to have one with that case.

"The appearance patent application was submitted in April 2020 (Patent number CN305996613S) for this design. In the past two years, the contracted manufacturer has processed production runs 3 times of which only 500pcs of the liquid metal alloy case were yielded."

Now, which is the main metal for this ? I know liquid metal is "cast metal". It seems that the case is casted into shape rather than being milled from a block.

Just bought an AMP13. Is it plug and play or is a factory reset recommended?
Should be a simple plug and play.
I agree, provided that you have the right FW version installed. Older ones aren't compatible and will not allow it to work correctly. If you have the newest one installed, it will work seamlessly.

Edit: Also, please share your thoughts on it, once you have some time with it?! :)

Unveiled at the Japanese Audio Show
I haven't seen any feedback yet...
According to the distributor, it will fit in the DX320 leather case without any problem.

I wonder if it is an "all metal" design. My point is, if it is, and they removed the glass back, I wonder if it will affect WiFi and/or BT signals?! Though from that photo, it APPEARS to still have a glass back.

I think it is the same as the regular one, except the chassis.

I would love a Metal back, and with thicker batteries LOL
