I use it connected through usb to a Fiio Q5 and it works like a charm, 0 noise, 0 issues so not sure what’s going on or where can be the issue but for me it works properly

Hi everyone.

I am new owner of this beauty, bought from fellow head-fier in mint condition with amp7,8ex and 9.

Love the sound of this little machine, cant wait for my fiio FH7 to arrive with custom eartips to listen on AMP9!

However, I am a bit worried about the battery. My ussual listening is 90% as a DAC, streaming from tidal on PC and rest as a DAP. How can I protect a battery when I use it so much connected as a dac to PC? Is there any way how to power the machine from the usb and isolate battery?

I ordered split cable where I can power the dap from the in-wall charger while connected to the pc. My idea was to use it as a dac like that since usb on the pc does not have enough current...

Anyone can help me? Installed lurker fw to run play store. And the app crashes every time i am trying to download anything.

Why not load it with APK? For Lurker's FW, maybe delete it and load it again.

Ignore it. Just realised it crashed after downloading and installing app. No issue there

Hi,
this means that i can play DSD multichannel in DAC mode and it will Downconvert to stereo?
Or it will just strip all the channels except the LR so i get the 2 chan LR from (ex.) 5.1 DSD?

Amp9 is pretty weak and low output, I doubt it can properly run any Othor, let alone Susvara

DX229 does not have enough juice for Sundara. I haven't tried Andro2020, but Solaris2020 hisses audibly.

It cant drive my Audeze Sine and Hifiman 4xx properly.
AMP8 is what you need for planars.

Also haven't tried the DX229 with Andro2020, but I have with Andro OG and Andro Gold. Agreed on the audible hiss. Paired with iFi iEMatch, it sounds good, but I found I preferred AMP8.

I amped it with xCan. Quite wonderful but a) double ampage b)DX220 got hot af with volumes required for this to work. Not worth the hassle.
