I wouldn't be opposed to an amp that either chunky or sticks out a bit longer or is a bit higher if it offers something new.

Maybe not flush or aesthetically pleasing....buuuuttt ....MOAR!!!

I know, but does that resemble Vinyl crackling ? There is a software to induce those crackling into digital music. You have it for free ?
Sorry, I have no idea about that software. My setup just switch from the built-in WIFI to the ethernet connection that help to prevent the noise sound when playing Tidal. My ear is very sensitive with that noise :p

Crackling sounds, you means like Vinyl system ?

It is exactly like cracking sounds after putting the needle on the vinyl and gaps between songs. But it is for 5 sec then it stops...That is what I hear when I am listening to the NCT streaming musics.
It seems you listen to the vinyl with your headphones/IEMs/CIEMS hook into it.

Never....swap out amp module with the DX200/220 main unit being powered on, period :D
Yes, you do need to update DX220 with a new fw to use amp9 to its full potential. Also, unlike some other amp modules, don't plug amp9 when DAP is powered up. I would suggest to shut it down, plug amp9, and power it back on. This "low volume" thing happened to me once when I switched to amp9 while dx220 was powered up.

Thank very much for your kindly guide. This is my first DAP (smartphones, mojo, micro idsl black is my sources before), I thought wrongly amp9 can insert /remove easily as storage cards . I'll follow your guide carefully.
Regarding of audio quality. I see amp9 with my wrong insert way, give a huge difference than stock amp. Not only very loud volume, but amazing sound absolutely. Amp9 is punchier, more authoritative, aggressive. It' rhythm, dynamic, layer is excellent extremely. If stock amp' tone was reviewed 9.2 by Headfonia, I give Amp9 is 9.4, even 9.6 if soundstage is a bit wider and background hiss is removed.
Difference between Stock amp and amp8 is Apple and Ogange. Amp9 is huge better two of them if not having "low volume" issue.

Zero sound output/doesn't work. There was a note at the bottom of the DC01 product page that it was a known issue on S9 and S10, kind of annoying that they bury that info where buyers likely won't notice. I saw it after my Amp9 and DC01 shipped

I assume your S9 is not from US? No issues here with S9+DC01

Interesting. No I also have a US model/Snapdragon S9+

I'll dig into some settings tomorrow to see if I can get it to work, thanks for the heads up

Anyone knows where to find silicone case for ibasso DAP as attached?

Since all the app icons are in Chinese, I would guess China.
