Pure Mango has disabled Android power management. Turn it off when you don't need it, or set up the timer to turn off when idle.I had mine on for about 4hrs with screen off with nothing playing and the battery dropped to 76% from 100%. I was in pure Mango.

hello all,
for those with problems with the battery draining fast, try installing ccleaner. it kills (FORCE STOP) background apps in the dx220. and in my case, i have used tidal overnight and wake up with music still playing. battery life seems to be maximzed in my dx220, around 8-9 hours. cheers!

As for me everything is just perfect, but only with 3.5 SE. With 2.5 Balanced I have a problem with treble, too much for me)Hi, i see that you have hyla te-5b. So how is the sinergy between te-5b and dx220?
I haven't had any problems with battery life on my unit.

Welcome to DX220...
I had tried LPGT, really leave a good impression for me. Black background even in High Gain 4.4 balanced with Solaris. coherent sound especially Mid.
but lack of soundstage... you should try it urself, since there's alot of difference impression about it.
@panasonicst60
is it drain a lot when u still plug the IEM?
this is quite interesting... pls update us... I also exp this..

I can’t comment on battery life in Mango mode, but I haven’t shut down my DX220 since I got it, other than the reboots required for the firmware updates. Currently using it for Tidal offline pretty much exclusively, for about an hour per day on average. With tidal running but no music playing and the screen off it loses maybe a few percentage points of battery overnight. I top it up once every few days.

Thanks a lot for the feedback @fokta and @Whitigir
@Whitigir - I did my best with Google translate, and that site was indeed the closest thing I've ever seen to specs on a Sony product, but the only information I could find there seems to relate to the specs of the amp chip and not the device as a whole. Most OEMs are pretty good about releasing basic specs these days. iBasso are awesome and provide a ton of data. Sony seem so confident enough in their sales ability that they provide absolutely nothing.

You're right. I never knew this. I also email Paul and he confirmed that too.Pure Mango has disabled Android power management. Turn it off when you don't need it, or set up the timer to turn off when idle.

Yes this is normal is pure mango mode as it does not have battery management. Confirmed by Lurker and Paul.@csglinux

I already listed many things I found from that DMP. In it own thread But I will repeat my impression and opinion.....if you want something better than DX220, don’t waste your time and money in other so called TOTL ....3-4K is meaningless when paired next to Dx220+Amp8. The DMP is the only thing that really does better and at 7x the price LOLThanks a lot for the feedback @fokta and @Whitigir

Back home, Mango OS, balance, Focal Clear, DX220 stock - sounding fantastic!
One question: I've been reading a few people listening at insanely low volumes, I know I don't have the bat ears of my 20's but volumes bellow 16 in android SE in low gain? Maybe extremely high sensitive headphones I guess? As a reference on my IEMS are 117dB@1mW (17 ohms) and in Mango OS balanced, a typical CD ripping 44.1/16 sounds good at volume 35 and up to 42 in medium gain.On Focal Clear same settings add +10 clicks
Considering the gain/volume range of DX220, although my headphones are fairly easy to drive, I guess I'm within parameters? I am typing this and thinking a can guinea pig my wife and my daughter and check... oh, forget... lets enjoy music...

any update on amp9 release? I am dying to hear how this sounds on dx220.
Can anyone do a apples to apples comparison where the Dx 200 and dx220 both have the same amp module, preferably the same for ti version. Otherwise it is impossible to compare these devices when each has different amp module. I'd like to know how the actual players compare, especially how is the amp1mk2 paired with dx200
Are there any replies to this question? I also want to know how dx220 compares to dx200 with the same amp module. As I'm currently using DX200 Amp8 modded follow Whitigir instructions and would love to see if i need to upgrade. Because many comparisons are comparing DX220 with Amp1 mk2 which most likely will be superior to Amp1 DX200

I think Twister6 did a review like this.
