They have also been looking at my personal ebay.

Since I first read this it kind of bothered me so now I'm going to ask out loud: What business is it of Head-Fi what a person, any person, does on their own, off site?

Apparently you cant say this either:

Did they even read the thread I dedicated weeks of my time giving the AR-M2 and AR-M20 a new lease of life.
These are hard to come by, I'm in the UK and bought 1 from the US and ended up bricking it and then 2 from Germany.
I managed to recovery the bricked one (listening to it right now) by dumping the emmc from another and restoring to the bricked one (This was 2 days in itself learning and aquiring tools just to get back to square one)
I managed to exploit it in the end and all was good. I even carried on to find a much easier way for head-fiers and posted full instructions and links for everything.
All this for FREE and i'm not allowed to mention I have a spare one for sale. I didn't even mention ebay. They went snooping.

So unfair, your free contributions can generate their incomes and also boost manufacturers such as AR to sell stuff. You should have a badge of honor, but here they are chasing you away

Admittedly most of what is posted on this thread is way above my head, but that is why I come to it. You modders/DIYers/specialists/craftsmen are freely willing to share with us your ideas in support of this hobby & community and we are truly grateful for your contributions.

What a shame
Well, unfortunately the cycle goes like

1/ running and managing a free website that generates so much traffic.
2/ traffics generates incomes
3/ increased advertisements = increased incomes
4/ having sponsored by other businesses entities are a more stable and better return
5/ having both #4 and #3 will generate even more
6/ other reasons including forum member protections....etc....and also protect self’s!

All in all, it comes to this. Apparently, contributors as @Nayparm are only helping User ends, but if there are problems, the users will more than likely be “nagging the mods” to get involved, which further creates “problems, headaches at 0 benefits”. Therefore, and there goes.

Not all users are responsible as a “man wearing his pants”. So, we will all have to understand why it has comes to this

I am pretty sure if every users have his own responsibilities, then it would be a lot of differences....however, it isn’t in reality. It only take 1 or 2 instances to have the “regulations” be put in place, just the same as “group buy regulations“.

unfortunately, there are more people who are greedy than being real and “kind”. It could be “greed for money” which results in “scams” or Greed for “self satisfactory and one’s ego” as in....”mom, the neighbors boy will not play with me...crying”

So, for all that said, I still hope to see @Nayparm around. I know that I will still be around and sharing with everyone what I can find still.

Hey all
Bought a DX220 and have been burning in for a week. I'm an old fart and not very adept at the technical aspects of this stuff. So---I successfully downloaded Lurker and then Uapp. I felt like Tom Hanks in Castaway--"I've created fire!!!" So--fired it up for the first time. I'm using Tansio Mirai Zodaics which are very efficient. Played some music. I had to turn up all the way. Checked in Uapp which stated that there were no volume controls available .(bitrate mode). So--being the technical genius that I am I thought I should check the DX220's audio settings. Max rate was at max I think (150) but I noticed I was at low gain. Now---with my One Plus 7 pro into the Xduoo 05 Plus I was on low gain and couldn't go anywhere near full up in low gain. On the 220 my max at low gain was just about enough. So I finally switched to high gain. I'm running at at about 75% which seems way too high. With my Xduoo there was plenty of gain for my Audeze LCD i3's. Haven't tried them yet on the 220 but I fear it will be too little gain. I am using 3.5mm--I know there is more gain balanced---but I just bought two 3.5mm cables (didn't know I was going to be an idiot and purchase the 220) and that's all of my dough for now. The next thing I'm saving for is an Amp 8ex and two balanced cables. What am I doing wrong? BTW---I mainly listen to Tidal HQ streaming
