Hi folks. My DX228 works as expected sounds good with my headphones. But I've received Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Closed headphones yesterday and it sounds absolutely horrible out of my DX228. The headphone must be wrong since my DX228 sounds good with my other stuff. Anyone owns this headphone ?

I own the A2c, the DX220 and the amp8. They sound good to me.

Received Dignis case today.

One thing I notice that it's better than Miter case rather than the material is at the edge of this case. It is more solid and not cover slide bar that make easier fast scroll than Miter. :)

There is always some kind of " high frequency grain" which makes the actual music unlistenable.

Do you have another source (desktop system or another portable) for comparsion if the problem persists with the second source?

No, my DX228 is the only 4.4mm source I have at the moment.
Surely you have a point of references. Grainy textures are not easily spot as it needs a lot of experiences. However, as far as to claim “unlistenable”. There is either something wrong with your devices or something wrong with all of us who is enjoying Ibasso DX220 and it amp modules

Hey, my DX228 sounds good with my other phones so it is fine. It appears like the problem is the Aeon 2C headphones.

Have you checked the operation of the bluetooth headphones buttons connected to DX 220? On two headphones and one BT speaker (bt 4.1) the play/pause buttons are not working with iBasso. Skip/volume buttons are OK.

Edit. The problem is in Mango player :frowning2: On YouTube f.i. play/pause works fine...

After dinner I will try the medium level rom from Fidelizer and I will try to explain if there are differences or not.

In other hand, I’m not sure if my mate from above is telling the same but when the player is locked and I pause the music, I can’t resume using the play button, I need to power the screen and use the on-screen play or the physical but I need to do it this procedure, annoying

I am not sure what you mean by locked? If you have the DX in the sleep mode, then the power button is required to wake it so that the buttons then work.
