I would leave the sound quality aside. SPKM sounds wonderful, though there are DAPs some people like more. My point is more practical:

- SPKM is from an older generation of DAPs. There has been some updates since then, like wireless DAC technology exists even with most recent entry level players. SPK does not have that. For portable use cases like watching something from your mobile through your DAP wirelessly I find it a very useful feature.

- M11, for example from FiiO, has a much better CPU/SoC. That would help with having additional DSP features. Also helps with the slow Android UI. Using Qobuz, for example, on SPKM was pretty slow. At least I wasn't happy with it.

- The side buttons are a problem on SPKM. Very small and close to each other.

Otherwise SPkM is a great sounding DAP. For my use cases wasn't just there.

Thanks. Price also an issue for me tbh, but no pricing info available yet for the dx220. Definitely interested in pricing and timing for availability.

I think you need to wait just one more day for the price. :)

I am not one of the most experienced here. Maybe others can give you better ideas but that is just my 2c.

Hmm starts at 1pm
And I am looking after our kids today...soooo depends on how my kid energy is at that time.

So may go/ may not.

Well, we hope your kid is on good mood and energy today
anyway, your effort is already appreciated.

Don't bother. I got here 1:20 pm, and I was given a ticket queue for 2:45 - 3 pm. I gave it up. And they have 2 desks too. That's ridiculous. I'm leaving as I have other errands to run.

I lined up initially thinking there was only one other person in line whilst two others listening to the player then someone else saw and thought I was skipping the ticketing queue. So the staff offered me a ticket for 1.5 hrs later. I told them no.

I drove 30 mins & paid for parking, I didn't wanna wait that long & left.

Maybe toward closing time may be better but I'm busy.

Ha, in this hobby theres no reaching satisfaction. Seems its more about the chase and the buying. , and the posting.

True that. You think you’re next system is gonna be endgame, and it is...for a while. And then you’re not fully satisfied, there’s something not quite perfect, and the chase begins again.
Ha, just a well written sentence written by a college student can trigger a doubt in your end game set up.

Apologies
- I had two kids with me.
- A queue behind me.
- We (they) could not get an English menu working for you to see (I took screenshots using Google translate).

- My photos are not too good.
- No specs or anything yummy.

They said Amp 1 pro, amp 1 mk2 or improved (dunno)

Menus below I took with google translate camera for you

The flyer last have some information (scant)

I had a QUICK listen. Most of my listening time was eaten up whilst they tried to get the English menu up (without success).

Seems smoother/cleaner?/ more resolving (not warm) with a blacker back ground. ( maybe the new amp, or new internals? Or both?)
I did not get to A/B with my DX200. Ugh.

Three gain settings.

UI is faster and changed. No more of the side to side menu (4 panels on DX200)

Oh, it scanned my Micro SD card fast, automatically.

Now it seems that they are above?
(Album/artist/genre/playing/playlist)

-No photo of that - ugh again.

Imagine usual screen with a slide across menu above the album art.

(See video).

But it’s still a mystery. Maybe at the April show I can learn more......

Results: inconclusive. Not enough information or listening.
