I tell you more, to better understand CPU demands of a DAP. The official lowest speed of RockChip SoC is 216MHz. For years, I add 126MHz to the line, and this is the frequency used most of the time during music playback!

In general use it does not matter at all.
That software cooler is always there: it is implemented at the kernel level. My change, mostly, to lower the limit to 70C instead of 80C. Most of the time the SoC runs under 50C. I don't believe you want your DAP to run continuously with SoC temperature over 70C, but that was you asked for. Do you? Also, please note, that in DAPs, the battery is very close to the SoC, and high temperature affects the battery life.

If you can incorporate SetCPU, that will open up lots of flexibility :)

I realized the option for switching off volume scroll when screen is off is not enabled in Mango OS.

Local update via Micro SD card is now up on the iBasso sits for anyone who was having trouble with updating over wifi

(Be sure to unzip that first file and just add the update file inside to your sd card)

Along the same line, for those of us who now have 4.4 balanced cables with our Solaris (and other earphones), anybody want to recommend good 2.5 male to 4.4 female balanced adapters?

It would be nice if there was an adapter that did not include a cable.
Ibasso CA02 Pictures below

would someone please, who has iBasso CA-02, let me know the dimension of this adapter? couldn't find anything over the internet.
maybe this helps ?

Ok, how are you doing on battery charge? Which amp? I used amp8 on mid gain with a 40-ohm 103 db/mW iem for around a couple of hours and after exiting dac mode it seemed I had lost ~20-30%. I'm surprised my DX220 hasn't died yet in light of that rate and bumping the gain to high but even on middle gain it seemed like I was seriously losing charge. Lower-res music too.

The newer firmware on Dx200 and Dx220 both allows charging + DAC modes together (which I prefer to have 0 charging). However, IF*** your PC USB port will not be providing enough juice for it to charge up while the consumption is ways more. The battery will gradually be draining out when continuously be used in DAC mode. It will all depend on your USB port capability

I use my Note8 charger, Note8 cables and it does quick charge in Android just fine

@rutter i even tried it DAC mode in Android Mango, and Dx220 works just fine, same as when it is in Mango OS

Same DSD512 and PCM384 both are working

My motherboard is Asus Code XI. The USB ports are 3.1. My computer is from top to bottom solid. I don't see the relevance of quick charging outside of USB dac use.

USB 3.1 gen1 only offer 1.8A output

Gen 2 offers 5A output. Try switching into Gen2 port and see if it helps charging faster

I am not familiar with your MBoard. Quick google showed that it has both gen 1 and gen 2 usb 3.1
