can i ask few questions

1- which amp besides amp8 ex is the most powerful one, , i feel that stock amp is not driving sony ier z1r to its best, i feel that both ak sp1000m and se100 had a way better synergy with sony ierz1r, more clarity and better dynamics
2- any changes in sound noticed after burn in with stock amp
3- is the amp9 powerful enough for sony ier z1r as that iem needs a good amp

my opinion :
1) u alrd on balanced connection? 2.5 TRRS? try middle gain? by spec sheet, is above Futura...
but if you looking for soundstage, both of AK u mention is the best...
2) Yes, After Burn in AMp1Mk2 Vocal will be more open and clarity rise a bit, IMO. 75 hours is the start, 100 hours is the enjoyment started...
3) Z1r is not that difficult to drive... And yes, AMP9 is sufficient enough to drive Z1r without Hiss problem, make sure u update to the latest firmware to get AMP9 High Output Gain..

is the ibasso dx220 with stock amp more powerful than AK Sp2000, as from @twister6 review of his Sp2000 he states that SP2000 has
"Balanced 6Vrms (up from previous 3.9Vrms)" while on his ibasso dx220 review he states that ibasso has 6.1 vrms balanced

anyway I used to own AK SP2000, and I find the clarity and sound stage difference between both is big, Vocals lack a bit detail on dx220 compared to SP2000 and highs as well, I do not know if this will change after more burn in using dx220. Or maybe the stock amp is simply not my cup of tea.

What is strange is really the sony ier z1r sound is not great with dx220 and stock amp using a 4.4mm adapter to go balanced on the dx220. When I had my cayin n6ii and SP2000 at the same time I was able tto enjoy z1r on cayin alot, yes with sp2000 z1r was the best there is. But with dx 220 i simply can not stand my z1r sound anymore.

What is the best amp with 3.5mm 2.5mm output and line out?
I need the most powerful dx220 amp that has the most vrms output.

I received dx220 today, I am officially a member of the team What can I say, I listened very little, but the sound is incredible. Holographic, microdetails, is very close to the sound of a quality system. Clearly the best sound from a portable source. By the way, at the 3.5 mm output, using an adapter, I took the Beyordinamic T1 very easy. Gizas, when I think I wanted to buy a Fiio x7 mark 2 ...

Actually, if you install 1.12 full image from the first post of the thread, and then apply local update to 1.15, downloadable from iBasso web site, the result will be the same. Just don't perform OTA updates in between.
