Look closely at the date (2016) and then look at you dx220 (2019) ? Also no detachable amp ? Im suspicions :)

Looks like transportable version of DX220, but without modularity of DX220 standard version.

This was posted by this Ibasso Twitter account, so guessing it's not fake.

Im just such a paranoid wreck LOL :), Just because I am paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get me! :). I do some pen testing in my day job, so trust in who did what on triter is not high on my priority list :).

This look like a full-size version of dx220 and without module for sure

This is exciting! Considering of how good Ibasso is with the Dx220, the amp modules potentials ! I always wanted Ibasso to come out with something to compete with Kann Cubes, and or DMP-Z1 ! Woooo!

If this one has everything DX220 has, but with upgraded internal components to the highest quality such as 0.01% tolerances...etc.....Discrete amp designs! Quick charge ! Most importantly is the ability to take in “External PSU directly” just like DMP-Z1 does ? Omg! I can’t wait to build myself an external PSU for it !

From my experiences with Ibasso engineering and designs, it is geniuses and so damn good! Can’t wait to see what they can do for it to call out a “Max”! Version !

    I am drooling !

Regardless of how some of us is feeling that new version is coming too fast! This is not a new version as it is no modular design, and larger size, with DC input option! This is to fill up the market portion of people who is craving after Kann Cube and DMP-Z1 with headphones ! That golden knob! Don’t tell me it is Analog attenuators !

It seems that the device drive AMP9 with much less power than stock AMP and AMP8. My device with AMP9 not warming up as fast as AMP8, and the battery is better i guess.

    Yes it does and it’s

Each to their own but the guys from Sennheiser were amazed at how the HD820 sounded on the DX228 at the AXPONA audio show.

Heavier is good!!! Dx220 without battery and PCB barely has any weight!!! The extra weight means better and beefy stuff..like bigger battery ? Lol

It could be titanium. Hope we get more information soon. I am done with small daps. My next dap hopefully is dmpz1 if i can afford it :p

Also looks like the volume knob was moved!

I think it is toward the headphones jack in the front now ? That makes senses if people is just laying it on the table top. It look like the size of Kann Cube and not DMP sizes yet. That puts it in semi portable categories

    DMP is huge! Lol
