Does the DX220 run really hot?
I remember the DX200 running hot, but not as hot as the DX220 when playing FLAC files on Mango.

battery life on amp1 mk2 :deadhorse:
from 100% to 60% within an hour and half.

It should not discharge that fast with regular file and it should not run hot with regular files. It can get warm and will get hotter if in a pocket or someplace where it can't dissipate heat that is generated under normal conditions. You may also want to take off the AMP and place it back on and do a factory reset.

I'll try removing amp and then doing factory reset tonight.

I am using DX220 with Aeon Flow closed, via AMP1 mk2's 2.5 mm output

The sound is already very good but I suspect that if I could get even better sound with AMP8

It will cost me $300 ($200 AMP8 + $100 4.4mm MrSpeakers headphone cable)

So folks, would it be a worthy investment? A noticeable sonical improvement is what I call worthy.

They use the DX220 and AMP8 with their headphones, especially the Ether II. That says a lot right there.

So I started questioning as to why my Audiosense T800 lacked bass when paired with the M11.
Plugged it into the DX220 amp1mk2, and voila, bass is there.

Why did I resist the urge to get the DX220 for so long!!!!

You resisted it probably because some reviews are very negative toward dx220
I resisted because I liked the M11 a lot and had great battery life.

Gave in to temptations and bought the DX220 instead of N6ii.

I own DX220 and N6ii and prefer DX229 which is matched very well with all my CIEMs/IEMs. :smile_phones:

i'm ready to order amp8 since most of my cables are 4.4mm
I barely have any 3.5mm single end cables :frowning2:

No doubt, didn't somebody say that Dx220 was not far off from M5 or whatever ?
Haven't tried the M5
but that's really far off if the M11 isn't at the same level as the DX220.

Full body is the exact words I would use for DX220.
