It is not a problem. Many players have this "pop" sound.

Ibasso already know this issue from their chinese webboard. Expect to fix on future. So now I am not that concerned cuz someday it will be fixed.

For now, let them enjoy their new year weekend.

Bought DX200, tried to flash repacked firmware, doesn't work anymore, tried using signing tool to flash repacked firmware, no luck. I can't improve firmware with my optimizations like DX80/90/100 anymore. I feel sad.

Indeed. I have about 50 modded iBasso models in Thailand, mostly DX90 and some DX50/80/100. Many of my fans are waiting for modded DX200 because they know I can bring the charm of highend systems into portable DAPs. Right now modding DX200 firmware isn't possible but there's possibility.

I also sent a request to iBasso team appealing for their cooperation. I really like to mod iBasso for highend sound quality and I prefer this approach over highend flagship DAPs in market.

Keetakawee

If you mod the DX200 one day, what would you do to it? Improve its sound, functionality, or something?

Mainly improve sound quality, also device performance and stability. I also modded Calyx M firmware having satisfied customers from Head-Fi too. It's so good to the point that any Android phones can sound very good with it.

I used to have to hdp r10 until i discovered custom firmware written by a russian audiophile on mp3ru forum. The firmware made my device extremely responsive, he even divided into many types for different approach to the sound signature which changed my unit's sound completely.

Just wait dx200 worldwide so that more developers can brainstorm and come up with solution. Pretty sure it will happen.

Thanks, I wonder why iBasso dap having this issue. The pop sound is so annoying on my dx80 too.

There is a small click with some formats when changing sampling rate etc. It is all being worked on.

Same here. Plus when you are using BT headphone, the player goes completely banana when switching between either bitrate or sampling rate.

ps. My BT is Sennheiser Momentum Wireless M2. No problem with wired mode.

This is something that will be addressed in a FW.
