Because of a different dac chip it will sound different and the DX200 will have different amp sections available. On absolute sound quality the DX120 will be extremely good and will compete easily with DAPs costing much more. We would strive for nothing less.

Maybe... Hopefully it will look more like the DX200 though, or maybe one of the other styles that weren't chosen would be for the DX120.

We are working on them every day. I don't have a date right now.

Welp, not for everyone though. I haven't had a single FW issue with my DX90 so far and the one FW issue I got with the DX80 has just been resolved.

Nor for me though I was late to the party after having got one only a few weeks ago. No issues at all. Going to be permanently late for the hype train from now on. Save heaps of dollars and all issues sorted.

Very curious about the DX120 vs DX200 final sq/signature differences

My choice will mainly depend on the sq results (wifi/bluetooth/streaming is not that important to me) anyway

Patience is hard. I struggle with it every day. I'm tempted by the new Acoustic Research DAP, but I am determined to wait and see what the DX200 has to offer. It is a tough market, and I don't purchase items like this very often. As long as my current player hangs on until the DX200 is delivered, I'm staying the course.
