The balanced amps always did sound tighter than the SE ones, so an improved AMP5 does sound interesting. How does the treble on AMP4s compare to AMP5? Is it less of a peak?

On the Spartans (2.5 to 4.4 CA02) I hear more treble’s peak than on Angie II with bass pod which has smoother treble’s peak (maybe the different cables).

I meant between the AMP modules. I don't have those IEMs.

I may have screwed my AMP4 up...my cat knocked the DX200 off the desk with the adapter in...now I have a little wobbly connection and some minor static going on...

Schiit... @Whitigir will the fix you put up help this? I might need a hand...lol

:frowning2:
If solder is the problem I can resolder it for you, no problem.

Yep, same here used it once and bingo. I'm completely stumped now. DX200 can find 3 other 5G networks around me but not mine 10ft away. Like I mentioned I've tried everything so far. I think I need to take Lurkers new FW off to troubleshoot. No 5G issues with version L0

Have you tried a different channel for your 5g network? Some regions are restricted in what channel they broadcast/receive and the dx200 may not be able to pick up certain 5g channels. Have a look at your router’s settings and see if changing the 5g channel to another channel, or auto, helps. I don’t have a dx200 but it can and has occurred with other devices. Worth a shot at least.

Are you using the case? it's possible since the cut-out is not very big, the leather would put pressure to the plug.
Nope, just the DX200

Oh you're good my fellow Canuck! I'm actually just about to try this now. Got the tip from a friend just before you sent

Just found out that my 4s and DX150 are on the way!

Well, I am not sure if the fix I provided would help. It depends on the damages. If the fall was hard enough and the drop angles were right, thesolder joins on the socket to pcb may have been cracked. This is the worse case scenario and it can’t be fixed unless you reflow the joints. If it is intermittent sounds issue on left channel like original amp4 issues, which was caused by the socket, then my solution would work. You can certainly try it

Thanks bro! Luckily once I removed and opened the AMP4 up and made sure all was and reseated it into the DX200 all was good as can be again! :)
