Ok. I might try AMP5. Although I wanted something more holographic like AMP4.Thank you for your recommendation. I wish they will make an amp similar to AMP4, but SE

AMP4 Alert: If you live near Singapore, there is a place that may have a few left. It's called Zeppelin and Co. Good luck!

Newest Tidal app supports MQA on LG V30. Is there any way to port it to our beloved dx200?

If you install the Play store you'll be able to update the app and get that feature. Or just get the latest apk from somewhere.

I have the X7ii but still have a itch to get the DX200 how do you or anyone else compare these two, besides Alex -Twister6 I've read his comparison and he ranks them close. Not sure if that changes with all these new amps coming out.

X7mkii and DX200 both on their own AMP5 are both amazing :)

FiiO X7mkii vs iBasso DX200 – We reviewed iBasso DX200 with AMP1 here: https://audiophile-heaven.blogspot.ro/2017/12/ibasso-dx200-reference-flagship-from.html iBasso DX200 + AMP5 review will be presented soon. iBassso DX200 is similar as an overall device, having similar abilities as X7mkii, with the device feeling similar while in hand. DX200 has a slightly larger and maybe even brighter display, providing a larger space the cover art. To support the same third party apps as X7mkii, DX200 requires Lurker's mod, a software mod that is easy to obtain and install. The sonic signature when using AMP5 is a bit more vivid on DX200, with a slightly more forward presentation, an even better extension on both ends, and slightly better resolving and revealing abilities. It should be noted that DX200 is more expensive, and the AMP5 module adds to this cost, and that the difference is not exactly night and day, the dual ESS PRO DACs in DX200 adding to the cost, as well as the larger display and different internals, but it does advantages in the music presentation department. This doesn't make X7mkii any lower than amazing though, both being truly outstanding flagship devices.

Still miss that IBasso sound. One of my favorite DAPs was the DX90 which was amazing at its time and still. Had the DX80 and did not care for it but the itch may never be scratched if I don't get this. I have the DP-X1 and X7ii, some thing about that Sabre sound I guess.

That comparison was based on using default amp module. AMP4 performance elevates the sound quality of DX200 to the next level, and we at twister6 feel that scale is tipped now in favor of DX200/amp4 combo :)

If this was so obvious I would not ask. Specific app functions on android are enabled based on the device on which it is running. I have edited build.prop to make dx200 recognized as V30 but it seems there is more than that (oreo on V30, dac driver, etc. ).

If Fostex are not far away from Denons 7000 (which I own) in terms of sensitivity and resistance, balanced out should be sufficient for them (I use AMP3). If you choose to get 2.5 TRRS cable or adapter, it should be of a good quality (such as Furutech and it is expensive), cheap ones from Aliexpress come loose and not of the same size, as good ones (measured with digital calliper). I would stay away from 2.5 mm TRRS because of that and choose 4.4 connector or standard 3.5 mm TRS, but with my amp I do not have that choice.

The main thing here is that the second release of AMP4 is worse than the AMP4 of the first release. The question is, why did this happen?
