replaced to new jack made by Nihon DICS!!!
Works great and now my Amp4've got brilliamt compatibility with Pentaconn plug

What brand of socket is that? A Japanese make?

Seems not. I can't hear any sound from Left when I pluged in deeply so I should insert a washer.

I received my VE8 today and tested out of the box with AMP5 and bundled cable, very nice pairing smooth and dynamic but AMP4 balanced is simply not in the same league, more detail but more important the soundstage is simply brilliant and dynamics are off the charts... this pairing is SO addictive!

AMP4 is very special... can’t wait to enjoy it with the i4 when I get the plussound balanced cable

I had a similar issue with a Blue Dragon cable from Moon Audio. Inserted but no sound on one channel. Then if I rotate the connector got sound from both channels
As I had no issue with two adapters from 2.5 to 4.4 I had (one of them the CA02), I returned the cable to Moon Audio and waiting for their evaluation. Perhaps 4.4 connector on AMP4 is very picky...

Oh no -- what is the trouble with the Pentaconn plug? I have ordered a 64 audio cable (https://www.64audio.com/product/New-Premium-Cable) with the 4.4 pentacon plug and was expecting to use it with the amp4. There should still be time to cancel the order -- should I?
