I ordered, and iBasso cancelled the order and refunded my money. :/

When was this? I don't know if you read back or not. But since the beginning of last week it was known that iBasso would begin selling the AMP4 module after Chinese New Year. This was confirmed by at least one dealer. Your money was probably returned because the item was still not available because they were out of production.

To clear the air on the AMP4, yes we will be producing it again. The demand has been overwhelming and since it can be used with 2.5 TRRS with our adapter its unique open sound can be enjoyed by people using 4.4 or 2.5. Thank you to everyone for your enthusiastic responses.

So to clarify this good news amp3 and amp4 will be combined as ONE amp module to use for balanced 4.4mm and 2.5mm TRRS plugs. Is that correct?

I believe he is saying that iBasso offers the adapter to use 2.5mm cables with the 4.4mm input that the AMP4 has.

Not what he meant. He meant that people with 2.5mm plugs can use it with the adapter. Nothing about AMP3 in the post by Paul.

Why the need to be cynical, AMP4 seems quite wanted, I am glad that people who wanted to have it will be able to get one and that iBasso is still planning to make them

There have been talks of dropping them for a while now, and the fact that they are officially resuming production is something to be glad about

Only thing I’m not happy about is I’ll have an ALO 4.4 silver litz cable with the Vega two weeks before I get Amp 4. Don’t know whether I should laugh or cry

I once needed a very specific PSU adapter, without having any idea it existed or that it wasn't included in the original package, man, it was nice when I got it
