Warranty what ? Worse case, I buy new amp module :) Enjoy your curiosity and inner beast

Amp3 is Top

Amp4 is bottom!! Can you spot the differences ?

Looks the same to me. Just the position of the chips very little difference due to the different audio port.

Thanks for the pics to satisfy curiosity

And they charged you $199 USD for it?
Wait for more impressions vs amp3 advantages before I can commit to buy another iteration of amps.

$199 is a price of AMP module (AMP3, AMP4, etc), not really sure what it has to do with a chipset difference between two modules?

Meaning is it worth it to jump over from 2.5 to 4.4 with funding to change all cables connectors to 4.4 mm on top of another 200 USD where 4.4 mm sq is not any better than 2.5 mm.
Does that make sense?

If your cables are in 4-pin XLR or 2.5mm, you can just buy an adapter to 4.4mm.

Though I can only see buying AMP4 only for convenience's sake.

Oh, I see what you mean. Got AMP4 on a burn in now for the last 2 days, will continue throughout the weekend. Should have first impressions soon, but now with about 40+ hours of burn in I hear AMP4 to have a warmer/smoother tonality and a fuller body sound in comparison to AMP3. Both have the same soundstage expansion, and very similar technical aspects of tuning (layering, separation, transparency). But tonality of AMP4 is smoother, body is fuller, and coincidentally it sounds closer to WM1Z  I have ie800S on a burn in now as well, makes it very convenient to go between different connector plugs since Senns included both, and you can really hear the difference in that famous 10k peak while going between AMP3 and AMP4.

Yes until a lot of reviews going for amp4 then I will jump on board.
Damm, I have to make for Utopia, K10, Aeon, and ie800 converting to 4.4 mm.
Sounds interesting to me but then lots of money to spend to that sq. Will see.

I also asked & heard someone that AMP4 edge out AMP3. Somehow 4.4mm physical structure of I/O might better than 2.5mm I/O...

When changing out AMP cards on the DX200 please turn the DX200 off. The sudden current draw of the card can cause the DX200 to shut down so it is better to turn it off before changing the cards.

We also have a beta FW release that will show up on our download page.
