New here. I was wondering if anyone has tested it with Hip Hop music. Usually I hear old school from the 80s and 90s. Would it be worth an investment for Hip Hop heads? Thanks

I have not heard anything that didn't work. The DX200 is very dynamic with a lot of power in reserve.

how's the DX200 pairing with HD650? Able to replace your external amps?

Do you have one? I don't have any lag issues and those that may have some and use Android don't have issues.

I can say that the DX200 sounds fantastic with my HD650's. The sound is airy, full and rich. The instrument separation is well defined and the bass is clean and tight. The DX200 takes the way the venerable DX100 sounded and brings it up a notch. I thought then that the HD650's were one of the best pairings for your money with the DX100...

I also say that they pair amazingly well with the DX200.

What lag? Mine doesn't lag at all.

They've released firmware to fix bugs as they've come about. Just like every other DAP manufacturer who pays attention to it's customers does. The software on this DX200 is a pleasure, even with it's minor kinks. You want laggy....look up the software on the DX100...

Now THAT is laggy...lol

LOL that? Well first I'd say that the guys have an issue with his unit that many of us don't have. Notwithstanding that we don't know what else is going on with the unit. What fw is on it or are his hands even clean? You know what I mean.

OK...so this guy...has a bit of lag...not even a LOT of lag...and he posts a vid on youtube...

That becomes the defining issue? When there are tons of us on here carefully comparing, reviewing, and posting our findings on the thing. That one video has you convinced that the software sucks, the fw is buggy and the company is bad for putting out updates?

Read what the person who posted that said because they wrote was that they missed the screen a couple of times and it wasn't lag. I don't get any lag.

That's for the info, do you have any desktop amps? curious on how the DX200 fares with the 650 compared to desktop amps.

Not in Android. The Mango app within android is great. The only issue with lag is within the Mango operating system, which you can totally avoid.

Clearly an issue they need to sort out, but I wouldn't not buy this DAP for that reason, as the player in Android is great: There is no quality downside to using the mango app compared to the mango operating system.

See Jamato's post. It wasn't lag, it was user error.

Hi Levanter,

No, I don't use one.

(Not a problem but would be nice)

So, when playing songs via the 'all music' tab, when a new song comes on, it would be nice if when you swiped left to go back to all your songs, it would take you to the song that is currently playing. That way, if there's a song on the same album that you'd like to listen to, you don't have to go scrolling through. Make sense?
