Just received email from ibasso, (not sure if Paul in disguise, lol), that tracking number given to me had a digit missing! I knew it couldn't take 4 days to get in the system.
Anyway, its at Dubai, half way here!

I'm back in the game  Ti Eagerly anticipated after early comments here.

Expect less, you will get more

Well I was a big fan of Amp1 when I heard previously, as not overly keen on warmer sound like many. To me, and coming from a hifi background, 'musical' is Neutral and not softened. So an enhanced Amp1 should be very interesting

Then you will love TiAmp1. It is simply said, an Amp1 on Titanium and...on adrenaline

Now, I know what to challenge Ibasso with. A portable Player with R2R ladder and FPGA instead  of Sigma-Delta LoL!

AMP1 is very good by design, and gains a lot from high grade components! I prefer it to any other in my DX200Cu!

That’s a strong statement! I confess I have a bias towards warmer sounding AMPs
DX200Cu did have a modified AMP1 too? (So you’re one of the 10, much deserved!)

Out of curiosity, does the Cu share the same components and is the chassis the only difference?

By the way....congrats on the World Cup win. Vive la France!
Like @Lurker0 said, it is a very special amp. It is very musical leaning slightly toward analytical. A little treble hot with my Noble Encores but perfect with the HD6XX. Layering and instrument separation are beautiful with excellent microdetail.

Thanks :)

Well, I look forward to giving it a run for its money when I am back from vacations!

I mean I definitely care. I just spent $1,700 in a device which I believe has imperfections. I’ll wait to see what Paul says. I know nothing about titanium or if small scratches like that are normal but to me that isn’t normal.
Wow, sorry about your dissatisfaction, maybe those scratches might give you an LP sound.

It wasn’t so much dissatisfaction I was just worried that I had received a unit that had been mishandled. I’ve spoken to Paul about everything already. I’m very much satisfied :)

Yes, and it has high grade components in the body as well. Paul said about Audio Note capacitors, but I'm yet to open and check them myself... but when I have time to deal with it, I prefer to listen rather than to open and take pictures!
