Is there still a consensus that Mango mode sounds better than Android mode?

I pretty much only use mine in Android mode

I think I am due for an update but I've never had to do any kind of firmware update before other than the automatic mobile phone updates.

So I'm kind of afraid to. Here is where I am. What would I need to do? I'm on a MacBook.

My DX200 is on Android 8.1 since updated Dec last year. I have downloaded the latest FW V1.06 and copied the ZIP file to the SD card.
Tried to do local update but I got error message “Verifying failed, please check your package”. I downloaded the file again and still going
nowhere with the same error message. Do not know what have I missed.

Does the DX200 have a local update now? I thought you can only update a new FW in DX220?

I did not unzip the file. All I have done was copying the file to the SD card and then used local update.

Go to Ibasso website and there are FW update files for each DX device.
