Glad you discovered the DX200! Paired with the Fourte while I was demoing it literally took me to outer space in a few songs with Amp 3.

Pairing it with the IT01 is what keeps me patient enough to really think about my next TOTL purchase (though it'll probably most definitely be at CanJam NYC).

I don't know if its the right Topic here for this Question but does somebody coincidentally have experience with the performance of the iBasso DX 200 paired with the Shure SE 846 IEM?

Im really interested into these IEMs but I would like to Know if somebody has any experience with this IEMs paired with the iBasso DX 200 DAP.

Im currently using the Shure SE 535(unbalanced) IEMs (With the AMP1)

I have the Ibasso DX 200 with amp 3 and use the Shure 846 (with Campfire balanced cable)
To my ears the comination is plain fantastic. The sound is like using full size cans.

I have never heard the Shures 535 though, so can't compare there. But as far as I understood from people who heard both, the 846 are quite an improvement.
I did do a brief comparison with the Campfire Andromeda. These also sounded fantastic, but they did not fit my ears comfortably

The Shures, with stock foam tips are like customs for me. I don't have to push or squeeze, and they sit snug for hours.
On the Shure thread you will find you can get them new for 500 pounds.
On the thread you will also find 'the blue filter mod'. Recommended

Now I learn to set up share wifi via bluetooth from my smartphone and results no noise for DX200

By the way, did anyone know how to set up sharing wifi hotspot from smartphone at 5GHz?

I just got my AMP 4 from Paul and just plugged my IT01's into the CA02 4.4mm adapter...

As I just said in the IT01 thread...

HOLY crap!!

What an incredible difference from AMP5 this is. I'm going back and forth from the IT01 to my JH Angie's and AMP4 sounds fantastic...and this is out of the box! LOL

Can't help it but I'm typing this listening to Andrea Bocelli "Io Ci Saro" on the Angies right now and smiling like a little kid.

It really makes me sad when you guys say AMP3 and AMP4 are great because none of my gear is balanced.
I have been waiting for DX200 to be available in India but it seems like a dream now!!!

My Opus #2 stays at the office now the DX200 is my main DAP too and one that I carry with me when I go out and about, along with being a reference point too.

Both stellar players, now if they could combine the Opus UI and battery saving, with the DX200 sound and form that would be awesome...

Excellent review as always, I only have Amp1 and Amp3.

Rough calculation formula is P = V*I = V^2 / R = (3.2)^2 / 32 = 320 mW
