Does anyone here know if AMP5 will be at the NYC camjam?

Yes, as John said, all the AMP modules will be there, plus the IT04's and a few IT01's plus other goodies to check out. It's going to be a great time.

I'm using my dx200/amp5 with a portable speaker. What's the ideal level for line out? The volume is digital, so there has to be a level where the volume algorithm is not in play . Is it 100 or max?

Opus #2 would likely be the better pairing, and the UI is pretty bug free and really easy to use.

DX200 is a little brighter, more analytical. With Amp1 that is.

Amp3 they become closer in sound, but then you don't have the flexibility of having 3.5mm output.

here is a well informed comparison between DX200 and Opus#3 if that's any help:
https://headfonics.com/2017/06/the-dx200-by-ibasso/3/
Look for the first entry under "Select Comparisons"

With AMP5 or 4 I preferred the DX200 in all areas. To me, either of those amps takes the DX200 to a new level and it even betters my WM1Z though I still really like the Sony. Also when talking about soundstage the AMP needs to be mentioned or the information isn't of much use regarding the DX200. With AMP3, 4 and 5 the soundstage has good coherency and is large. With AMP4 it is huge but not stretched oddly as the imaging is extremely good.

thank you for all your replies. i just got news from my local dealer that they have the the opus#2 for audition. unfortunately they don’t have AMP4 module for audition with DX200. i’m just worried dx200 will be too “bright/analytical” for my iem :xf_eek: from what i have read it seems Opus#2 is slightly warmer and maybe better for bright/analytical IEM.
dealer also told me DX200CU will be priced at SGD3999 with very limited units available worldwide (did not say how many exactly). I am not sure how much is true though.

I think Singapore Dealer are adding their profit, legal import taxes, exchange rate. that's why the price seems to be high.

Like my country, DX200 is $1050 but the webpage is just $869 so it is like 17% top-up.

I believe the retail price would be 2500 USD in China

I feel that the dx200 with the amp4 is brighter that then WM1Z, what's your impression?
For me the WM1Z feels warmer.
haven't listened to wm1z before, but out of box I also feel amp4 is on the neutral to bright side pairing with A18. Not sure if burning in will change things, but the sound stage is truly amazing.

Yes, sounds more neutral than the Wm1z, and I agree has one of the best sound stage, every time I pair it with the lcd i4 I’m impressed how wide is the sound stage.
Truly amazing!
