New versions of DX200 are inbound, if I'm not mistaken

At this point I'm actually having a blast with using all of the above with AMP5, without adding any external amp.

I do add iDSD Black Label Micro or Nano when using my smartphone or Tablet to watch a video, situation in which they help greately, but AMP5 does an amazing job with the headphones I've tried it with so far (the list above)

What do you mean new version? Not an entirely new model?

Paul said a few pages ago that there is a Cooper and a Titanium version of DX200 incoming, but I don't think he ever announced any other DAP. There is IT04 to look forward to as well from iBasso though.

After days of sourcing internationally and effortlessly, I finally found and placed order of the AMP 4! Cannot wait to be amazed by its holographic sound stage...

Line Out? What external amp do you have AMP1 LO connected to? Soundstage width and the tonality coloring will be more of a function of your external amp pair up

Found out that DX200 could get quite hot when left it for 3 hours in a jacket pocket (at home) while breaking in with the supplied cable.
Hope the battery did not get hurt, as unit temperature was around 40ºC~50ºC measured by eye. DX200 really needs some fresh air all the time

How do you measure the temperature of a DAP with your eyes? Was it literally red-hot?

That is correct, the Burn-In cable can place quite a bit of strain on DX200, especially as it would be playing at quite loud volumes for the burn-in to be effective

That's why I never use burn-in. I just use normally

I’m using line out with Rogue Audio Sphinx v2 and Focal equiped car audio. Comparing amp1 vs amp2 vs amp5, amp 1 sounds very natural and widest soundstage, amp2 very dull and amp5 super bright. I tried at couple of friends place with different setups and same results. Maybe all amps are tuned with headphones and iems in mind ( obvios function of dap)...

Used the RTi1 for the whole day today and I can safely say the synergy with the Dx200 (AMP5) was just incredible. Super wide soundstage, crisp notes, highly detailed and precise instrument separation. Great with acoustic and jazz.

so far AMP5 has been killing it. Everything sounds so good with them

The Vegas sound real good balanced with amp 1. Amp 1 is not given enough credit in my opinion. Great amp.
