Hi Guys,

I have a DV336se at the moment (isn't mine, I have it for modding). I've made a couple of mods to it (1uF capacitors in the PS, added 0.22uFx2 capacitors at the output, and a 220uF cathode bypass capacitor). It has worked for 6 hours straight after mods, and while it works and sounds great, I do have some worries about heat. I have once owned a DV336i, and I dont remember it getting that hot. After 6 hours the case is very hot to the touch, not something I would expect. So the way I see it there are 3 possible reasons:

1 - I dont remember that well, and all of these units get this hot.
2 - The DV336se gets hotter than the DV336i.
3 - The mods cause the amp to generate more heat (something I see no reason for).

Any one can help me choose the right answer?

EDIT:
Checked with the probe. I've inerted it right under the 6AS7 tube (inside the amp, below the venting hole the sorround the tube socket), the temperature is 60C. Seems a bit high, but acceptable to me. Anyone else has the opportunity to check it on his amp?
