Hello guys, i had my darkvoice for over a year now and some time ago left channel started to hum, I thought it was because record breaking temperuture and just didn't use it for a while and 3 days ago i used it once again and was unpleasently surprised by still exsisting hum, so I fitz modded it and nothing changed, what shall I do? could it be tubes that are broken? may be something else? thanks for your response!

Does the hum get louder as you increase the volume?
Did you swap the input L/R around so you are sure it's the amp and not a bad cable or connection?
It may be a bad resistor. With it powered off and left alone for 10 minutes to drain, unplug it and open it back up. Take a look at the 100 - 500 Ohm resistors to see if one of the leads came unsoldered or is broken. I think this amp uses some grid-stopper resistors if my memory serves me correctly. Those are super easy to damage.

hum has constant volume and hums even with no source connected, I'll check the resistors tomorrow because it's getting to late right nowDoes the hum get louder as you increase the volume?

I do not understand if everything is ok and the unit itself hums, here is a photo of its insidesTake a look at the 100 - 500 Ohm resistors to see if one of the leads came unsoldered or is broken. Try changing the tubes, one at a time. Change the first tube, power it up and see if the hum persists. Then try the other tube assuming the hum is still there after the swapping of the first tube.
ok but it will take A LOT of timeTry changing the tubes, one at a time. Change the first tube, power it up and see if the hum persists. Then try the other tube assuming the hum is still there after the swapping of the first tube.
