Okay so I have had some Bose IE 1's for about 6 years now and I have worn them 4 times a week all of those years to the gym. They look like gift-ribbon, stained brown with rust, and have exposed wiring, and yet they still work. Yesterday, however, they began to short out in one ear (a large area of exposed wire seems to be to blame) and I am looking to find some new headphones. I do like the sound of the Bose IE's, they have good lows, and decent mids (I think the highs might be a bit lacking) but what I love about them the most is the fact that they are durable and stay in my ear. I do have the newer version of earbud inserts that are almost impossible to pull out of your ears (I can hang my iPhone from my head without them budging).
With the new S4i Rugged and some other newer IE with good build quality coming out, what is everyone's take on some good quality, durable head phones?
PS I would love to get the RE-Zeros because of great quality, but they don't seem that durable and no iPod controls.
