Dunu DN-2000 - Hybrid Impressions Thread (It's Here!)

Didn't read through all 80+ pages but how much do these weigh compared to the DN-1000? My DN-1000 sound fantastic but I can't use them in any setting but sitting still because they fall out of my ears even wearing them over ear. Thanks in advance!

Best iem I have heard, and it's even better amped e18.

Thank you! I'm quite happy/satisfied with this after 150 hours of burn in. At first, the sibilance was quite distracting and the timbre was not to my liking. I did my part to make the proper changes and man, I'm just enjoying each listening with them. Very smooth like a college girl's bum! Loving it!

Edit: was curious on your setup and how the amp adds to synergy. TIA.

On the IPhone it was good.  But on an E18 amp with my laptop as source, Heaven!!!  Big difference... I'll never go back to unamp!!!  I also have JVC FX850.(no anywhere as good as dn2k, too dull and not as natural sounding).  The amp does make the dn2k, JVC, Ma 750 and ortophon e5 sound more full, and powerful, and enveloping but it seems dn2k has the most growth w/ amp.

btw peeps, I too will second that the dn2k does amp pretty well (provided you wanna add something new in terms of synergy). Instead of warmth and bass, I went for the Alo Rx iem amp. Didn't really find tons of reviews but fwiw, it really works well with the dunu. I guess at this point I don't have to "upgrade" to any other future dunu iems because of the way they compliment each other -  the amp adds extension on both ends, fast impact and realistic decay and SUPERB timbre (again on the realistic side). I hear no sibilance at all and things like tambourines and percussions have a nice sweet tone and attack to them. Anyhow, something to consider instead of flipping something you like, but you want a form of upgrade.

Not sure if it's a listing error or what but someone in China just listed 5 Dunu DN-2000 at $34.00 + $23 shipping.

I doubt it's a counterfeit, but who knows. With the eBay satisfaction guarantee it may well be worth a shot.

Ebay auction # 121818044570

I'm tempted to give it a try.

Any news on your cheap purchase? Is the seller actually doing anything?

OMW OMW OMW OMW!!

Listing removed!!!  Maybe it was a mistake!! Why did I not buy it?  So maybe he's obligated!!  What a sad state of affairs.  Let's wait and see what you get - hopefully they're fake - or perhaps even just a new photo of them from a fancy camera.  Lol, I'm just joking..  You're one lucky person if you get them now.
