Yup, that 8K peak is a bit irritating. It's too much for my taste.I must say these are great straight out of the box

I switched tips to Final E tips and it's much better.

I think the final e tips soften it a bit and favor the weight of the bass. To my liking the tips of factory gray with red achieve the best balance, an atmosphere with good weight and shine in the highs.

We also always encourage as deep a fit as reasonably achievable for our DK series of hybrids.
So the DK2001 arrived today and it's gorgeous in Topaze, I love the assorted tips as well
I only had a few minutes with it but I love what I am hearing it's a fun and smooth sig!
Looks beautiful, the cable too but turquoise could well be my favourite color.
I am using Symbio peeled W tips with good results. I have to say these things have impressed me every time I am listening to them. That detail is just addictive. Coming from a recent purchase of mine the Blessing 2. These have that treble detail the Blessing 2 just don't have.
For guys that want their treble detail with a well tuned balanced sound the DK2001 for certain.
Curious about these two, would you say that the Blessing 2 is more of a mid centric analytical iem then, compared to the dunu model?
How bout you read my review and it is the first comparison. https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/dk-2001.24085/reviews#review-23229
Mids are nice on the Blessing2 I wouldn't say it is dry. They sound kinda boring after listening to the DK2001 though. Harmon tuning is what I call a safe tuning. Every single moondrop earphone is tuned that way. I think both in ears are competent but if you read my comparo. The Moondrop has a larger stage and a fuller body of sound but lacks the technicalities due to that reserved treble end. Bass is not as good as the DK2001 as well. It has really good sub bass but don't have the same dynamism of the bass end on the DK2001.
If your going for vocal music only go for a Blessing2. If your going for more of an all rounder I would take the DK2001. H40 for $195 is a crazy good in ear.
