I wish I knew enough about electronics equipment to say if this thing was historically good or not. All I can say is that I like the visual design of the knob control panel. I don't know the condition of it or even how to refurbish equipment. I guess at the very least, someone ought to desolder everything worth saving from the board, but I'm dealing with some household crises atm. Is this thing worth saving, or is its new home a landfill?

In that first photo, are the small black dots dust or woodworm?

If they are woodworm, I suspect most replies will be landfill.

Otherwise there is a market for nostalgia, so among the many head-fiers I would expect there would be someone happy to remove the old record deck, and replace it with a more modern turntable/arm/stylus which would cause less wear to records.

I have old Zenith labeled tubes from like maybe the 1950s or 60s. They’re excellent.

In my estimation, I think it was probably made by Sylvania company which was a big tube company back then
