I hate to ask this, but I'm stumped on some of the abbreviations used here. What are:

MTP?
MSC?
OS-X?

I have a feeling OS-X is a hack operating system or generic operating system that replaces the stock OS in an Ipod, Zen, etc. Correct?

OS X = Mac OS X. Apple's operating system for use on their Macintosh computers.

Hey, don't worry about not knowing them. So many abbreviations are invented everyday that it is difficult to keep up with them.
