Ok, so I heard that the only difference between the DT990 and the DT880 is a piece of felt, but I don't know where that felt is or how to go about installing it, so I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me how to do that. Thanks.

But you will need to find\cut\shape that piece of felt to convert dt 990 into 880. It's worlds easier to make 990 out of 880, since it's only taking away, rather than adding...

Bringin the thread back from the dead! That link doesn't work anymore.

My 990 has a felt ring. I'm looking for pics of the 880 inside. I've noticed in the pics I can find that some 880 drivers have a fine mesh over the motor, where my 990 appears to have the same mesh over the hole instead.

I'll keep searching, any help is appreciated.
