DT880 vs DT 860

I know it's old thread, but I've got DT860 32 ohm and DT880 Edition 250 ohm. DT880 are without questions better in terms of build quality and sound quality (a way better highs).

With the 660 praise, i imagined the 860 would be better being open but research indicated otherwise. There were a few saying 880>860>660, and some saying 880>660>860. Whats clear is if one has an 880, then not really missing much without an 860/660. But the fact they can run off a portable with minimal issues (for 660 anyway, little juice helps in the low end department). Anyway, lets not forget the 440 (same ultrasone' headband and OPEN). So the 440,660, 860 had them headbands. IMO w/exp, yes 880>440.32/660.32 but they serve diff purposes. In saying that, nothing is world's apart, and these tools used appropriately all get A+ :D
