I find the 05 DT990's to have just a hair more treble than I would like. But not to the point that I don't enjoy them immensely, and on some recordings it's a benefit. The quality of the DT990's highs I find excellent.

I would say the DT880's highs are very similar to this. MAYBE just a hair less, but not a lot.

Mids just need some burn in to fully develop. After that it's the sweatest vocals presentation I've ever heard.
