dt770s touch ear?

not the velour pads... but i guess my ears stick out enough to touch the foamy thing. it kinda gets annoying after awhile. anybody else experience this? is it just something to get used to?

My ears touches it a little, only because its a tight fit even with the headband extended all the way out. Try taking off the top headband padding and see if it'll feel any better if you have a big head like me. It worked quite well when i removed that padding from the headband.

It touchs mine a bit also. It does help to take the head band padding of but it makes the cans look really corny. But sound is more important I guess. By the way my 770s have about 40 hours of burn in. How much do the 770s need to sound there best?

Mine don't, but I had that problem on my Sony (MDR-V6/7506)'s. You get used to it. Surprisingly, I got a mild shock when rotating about the axis of the driver (I.E. rotating about that line that goes from one headphone to another). So don't do that.

Anyone know why this is? I'm sure it's some electromagnetic equivalent of torque, but I haven't sat down to do the math. Quote:

I would say 80-120 hours before they really settle down.
