I own dt1990 and run them at the moment with an gsx1000 and wonder if it would be an "worth" upgrade if i buy aune x7s. In my opinion the gsx1000 has enough power to make the dt1990s loud enough (i wouldnt listen louder with aune x7s). What i expect the achieve with an upgrade is to get more imaging,detail or soundstage and it could also be great for my fostex t20rp and takstar pro 82.


I´m a "hardcore" competitive gamer and search for very good imaging sound in counterstrike, so i plan to connect the gsx (simply as dac) with aune x7s (amp) to my headphones. I heard many good things about the x7s, thats why i asked about them first, but i´m open to any advice.

I don't know much about the x7s but from the review I read, it sounds a bit quirky. I have the Schiit Asgard 2 and it is a beautiful match with the DT 1990 Pro; warm, highly detailed, low distortion, lots of power.
