Looking at firestone audio cute beyond for 170.

the cute beyond is a good choice and at high gain will drive the cans VERY nicely.. ive seen alot of people have paired it with the DT990.

You can also consider Meier's Porta Corda MKIII, it can drive the 250ohm Beyer's can good. You can drop a message to Dr. Jan for details.

I saw you have a DT, why don't get a Corda amp, it really likes magic when pairing with Beyer's.

Maybe something to improve the midrange??? Like trading them for 880s....Just kidding. I have been listening to mine through a Total Airhead on high gain and they sound really good at half your budget. Sorry about breaking headfi rules and lowballing in my rec.
