I received them from Jan Meier this morning. I'm impressed by their metallic box. Quite classy, in my opinion.

I'm now listening to them through my HA-1 Mk II and I like what I hear. Comparison to UE-10 will require some time, as I want to... come to know the DT 880 before drawing proper comparisons. For sure soundstage is something else, but I kinda expected that.

Congratulation for the purchase. Beyer DT880 are one of the best headphone I've ever heard and the best I've owned.

Happy listening!

bye

Gorman, do you feel that your amp is good for the DT880?

Congrats man !!!

Surely your ears need time to understand well the new toy, I too after the Qualia sound signature...

The DT 880 needs a muscle amp to give their best, just this: with my RP010 (in the hi impedence out) they have more bass than the Qualia !!!

Best!

In my knowledge, the Corda amp is equipped with some capable BB output buffers (the same used in the whole Corda line) that can supply any modern phone with plentiful current.

Nik, what a fool man you are!!! You could have been happy with the Corda amp and instead you have spent a lot of money in the futile RP010!

I'm still getting to know them.

The HA-1 Mk II seems more than capable to drive them. Obviously... with something like the RudiStor... they would probably be something else!

I'll let everybody know what I think about them ASAP. For now, I'm satisfied.

Good. I'm happy for your satisfaction. I'm in search for a good (cheap!) amp for the DT880 to buy in a (near?) future, so I'm beginning to collect info. Thanx!

bye
