Will a portable amp like the GoVibe 6 or the C&C Box amp power these sufficiently for use at moderate volume levels? If you don't think they will then will you suggest a sub $100 portable amp for the job.

Well I see you have the DT 770 Pro80. How many ohm load can the GoVibe 6 handle?

I'm sure it can drive pretty much any mid-fi headphone, I don't know the exact specs to be honest with you but I know for a fact that it can drive the DT770's very well. My pa2v2 drives them really well and I know that the GoVibe is said to be significantly better. I'm planning on buying this amp to replace my pa2v2, actually. Unless I decide to just get a hornet, of course.
