I'm tempted with getting the 770s for my birthday. I've heard these are great for rock music, which is my favorite.

How are they with movies and games?
How do they sound with a sound blaster audigy 2 zs platinum?
Do they work well with a PA2v2?

Are they obnoxiously large? By that I mean, if I took them on an airplane, would people be staring at the monstrosity on my head?

They look amazingly comfy. Am I right?

Thanks in advance.

games - amazing
movies - didn't try
pa2v2 - will work fine but I've heard the bass is nuts with that amp
comfort - it's great. I could wear these all day.
audigy 2 - will work fine but cmss 3d on the x-fi is gaming bliss

Really needs an amp for the bass to shine and details to come out.
size - yeah they're pretty big... not sure if anyone would stare at you but who cares.

Okay, heres my current dilemma.

Get these, a PA2v2, an Audigy 2ZS Platinum, and the DT-770s

or,

the DT-770s, a PA2v2, and some sort of source.

I think I'm gonna go with the Audigy 2ZS. That way, I have games, movies, and music, instead of plugging and unplugging for a separate source.

Do you guys agree that a sound card is the way to go?

Oof.

That ups the price a bit.
Anybody wanna split the 2 pack that's up for auction?

If it says DT770/80, it's the 80 ohm?

$200 is a lot of money....
Will I enjoy it enough with a PA2v2?

*edit*
The above question still applies.
Another question will be added now:
He has an option for making an offer.
Since he's asking for $199, what would you say would be a fair asking price, without getting rejected?

How did i miss that?!?!

I'm gonna make an offer of $175 on ebay.
I'd be willing to pay an extra $10 for new.

Aren't the pads on them also kinda icky to use after some one else has used them?

Yes, and yes! The ZS isn't the greatest source ever (Upgrading to a Revolution 5.1 would make huge improvements) but I'm sure you'll enjoy that.
