Hey, I've been lurking here for a while and I slowly got sucked into it, and decided to register the other day, aka this is my first post.(well a repost actually)
I was thinking about getting the DT770's - 250 ohm (and not the pro's) since I primarily listen to trance on my headphones. I'm currently also building a CMOY amp (gain of 11).
Question 1: Do you think that from my soundcard/portable the CMOY will adequately drive the DT770 (I have a turtle beach santa cruz card, that feeds into altec lansing 885's (5.1 Dolby / Prologic THX certified ones) and i use the headphone out on the speakers to listen).
Question 2: What about directly from the soundcard?
oh, and i just picked up the HP170's from target. Now, sadly, i've owned the crap-tastic MRD-V500Dj's for a while, and i know how much everyone hates them, and just to clarify, those $20 HP170's blow the V500's out of the water. I love the HP170's
