Through an Ibasso D2 to an iPod Touch. Pretty much everything but rock music. The only reason im considering the 780's is the S-Logic so is that worth it?

The reason i went for the ultrasones over the beyers was i understood them to be more accurate and refined maybe a shade less bass but better quality bass i also wanted them to be very easily driven and they are. As regards s logic plus soundstage dont expect a massive soundstage i find it a nice natural airy (sometimes very large with live recordings)but theres afew threads on the subject

I can't address the sound of the 780s, but I can tell you this much: The 770s have a metal frame (not plastic) so they are very durable. They also rank among the most comfortabe of all cans, while Ultrasones are not known for comfort. Finally, they have a very large (for closed) soundstage and great sound overall.

Ultrasone comfort can be adjusted, just lossen the headband.... it's now perfect the clamp is reduced significantly.

If you have a huge head and huge ears(like me) then the 780's might not be comfortable, but still definitely VERY FUN to listen to. Even if you get tired of wearing them, they sound great and your feet will always be tapping to beat(if not more motion involved).
