I hope to do a review of these cans as I just bought a pair. I'll probably have them in about a week. I'm also working out a deal to trade my HD 595 for a pair of the 80 ohm version of the DT 770. Hopefully I can shed some light (or sound) on the 32 ohm cans. I'll be listening unamped out of a pcdp.

Hi Humzebra, are you still gonna do that review?
I'm interested in the 770/32, because I want a closed can can use unamped, but i'm confused by all the versions and options of the 770. Is the 32 ohm version indeed easy to drive and how does it sound?

Thanks for replying to my thread. My initial impressions are that the 32 ohm version of the 770 is indeed very easy to drive. My belief is that the sound is very liberating from the older 80 ohm pro. The 770/32 has highs which are more resolved. In fact I would say that the sound is overall more resolved than the 770/80, much more detailed! This will come as a welcomed aspect for those who are used to grado and senn as well as the other Beyerdynamic offerings I believe. The midrange also is well-defined and more present than that in the old 80 ohm version. I'll write a review this summer. (They've currently burned in about 500 hours and I'll only have time until after school's out)
Thanks
~Don
