DT 220 vs ATH-M50s

I would suggest the ATH-M50s in this case because of the amount of bass they have. Nonetheless, don't limit your options the Beyerdynamic DT770 are also great headphones and arguably have the best bass.

I have the M50s and mainly listen to hip hop and rap and i'm quite pleased. Mine aren't near fully burned in either. I just wish the cord wasn't so damn long and they were a little more portable. The m50 is also powered quite well through an mp3 player which is a plus compared to others. Best of luck.
