Hi, I've read that the K340 really rsponds well to being driven by the speaker out from an amp.

I have a NADC320BEE integrated amp and would like to try doing just this.

I was considering having the local electronics / electrical shop rig up a female 1/4 in into speaker wire terminating in 4 banana plugs so that I can plug the banana plugs into the speaker outs and then the 1/4 in of the K340 into the female 1/4 in connector..

Will this work or crazy idea??

Also, if it does work, do you think that the same setup will drive the K240DF since it has higher impedance than even the K340??

Thanks..

I have done that and it worked very well power-wise (has a bit of background hiss though I think this is inherent with many speaker amps).

About your idea idea above (and hence bridging your speaker output grounds), I am not too supportive of the idea. Some amps can tolerate this but there are also others which do not. I have no idea if your NAD can support that but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Cheers!
