I just got done watching this DVD, and I must say, this is friggin incredible!!! The orchestra really adds to the last songs. The band is on fire the whole night. James was MUCH better on this disc than Live at Budokan. Now, to be honest, some of the songs I would not have chosen (I prefer Stream of Consciousness, In the Name of God, most of Awake, Panic Attack, and Endless Sacrifice), but they played the heck out of them all. For some reason, the picture is not as good as I remember Live at Budokan, but the sound!!!

This is one of the best sounding concert DVDs I have ever heard. Crank this up and enjoy. Best part is, the stereo mix is LPCM... not that garbage Dolby stuff!!! The highlight of the show for me was Octavarium. That was worth the price of the disc itself. If you are a fan of this band, this DVD is essential. Absolutely amazing

Hmmm, when I first heard about this I was thinking "ANOTHER live album?!?!?" Granted the orchestra is a twist, but the setlist looked less than impressive. I think it'll depend on how cheap I can find it, since I've already got LSFNY and LAB. Of course, DT still has a lot of work to do to match Iron Maiden in putting out excessive live albums.

How does $14.99 @ Best Buy sound?

Also, I am kind of a sucker for live albums from my favorite bands. There is always something new or creative. I wish Sabbath had a decent live DVD (their Reunion was RUINED with the interviews in the middle of songs, uggh).

I love most of the music of Dream Theater but I have my problems with the singer. Sadly I consider him not on par with the rest of the band. I also think that DT needs a stronger personality in front.
We had an interview with DT on their first Germany tour and I remember that someone from the record company told us that James was taken into the band because he was not only a good singer but also a good looking fella which would sell a lot more CDs.
But thanks for the info, I will have to look around for it.

I have seen them almost every time they play at home but of course the one time I decide not to go, they tape it and it becomes one of their greatest shows ever.

I can't say I am kicking myself enough.
