hi guys
A few days ago i bought sen momentum 2.0 over ear with dragonfly 1.2 usb dac
Im using 2015 macbook air, fidelia or audirvana software, all my files are flac from my own cd's using XLD.
MY problem is that the dragonfly is making the momentum sound worst than using the 3.5 port of the macbook - and this is strange.
On one side when you use the dragonfly the sound is clear, no noise at all, i can describe it as very "round" and warm.
BUT the thing is, it is too round and too warm- the bass becomes emphasized and guitars sounds more like drums, it sound like
you just added a bit of echo, and also less detailed.
when i checked the reviews about the dragonfly everyone talked about more details, clear sound, better soundstage, where's all that?
do you have any idea what can cause such effect? maybe specific setting in the OSX ?
thx
BTW i also have an HTC M8 PHONE ( which is known forr its good sound) and the momentum sounds better
with it than with the dragonfly.
