Hey guys,

I just thought I should give you heads up on a good deal... If anyone is still interested in MD. You can get Sharp DR7 for about $180 that's 163 EUR.

Link

The model name on that unit is MD-DR470H which is the European model name for Sharp DR7. Actually it's a newer model that is marginally smaller then the older DR7 (I think). But it's basically the same unit.

I was tempted on getting this unit myself, but I'm not really in to portable gear anymore.

EDIT: Sorry.. I've updated the link and now it works

Good price indeed, thanks for the info. Can't justify it though, my Mt877 is fully functional. Although that AUVi amp, hum... would be nice to have

The DR470h is exactly the same as the DR7, size weight and almost appearance. The only difference really being that the DR7 has a badge that says Auvi while the DR470 says 1-Bit or something like that. Nice price though, do they ship over to the US?

They actually differ marginally in design and size.. You can see this at minidisc.org. Look at the "bumpy" part on DR7 which makes it slightly bigger(?) then DR470..

I consider buying it - i was looking for a pcdp, but 163 € seems to be a deal to me - considering that this baby seems to have very good sound quality

163€ is the price of the cheapest sony modells
I think I take it, use it for a while and see what has done in hd-bases technology and netmd

The DR470/DR480 both have the bump too- look here. It's just exaggerated in that picture or more concealed in others. Their size and casings are identical, except for the logos.

well the DR480 also comes with an extra set of 4pole clip-ons, the 3pole-4pole adapter, and a world charger.

the new DR80 doesn't really interest me, i might look into a DR420 though if i ever want to replace my n505.
