Does anyone have both of these, or have any opinion as to how they stack up against eachother and differences/similarities?

these have already been compared in another thread... the conclusion was that the DR150s were at SR225 level whereas MS1s more towards SR80 if you know what i mean... i think the MS1 would be more neutral compared to the DR150s....

I don't have MS1's, but have listened to them before and since they have the grado sound sig, I feel that I can comment on this. The DR150's are not quite as forward as many Grados and the dynamics although Grado-like, are still different. I, and several other members, think that the MS1's are a good buy and so are these DR150's (at their current price - although I feel they are worth much more). I don't think you can lose on either one, but this one is too much up to preference though. If you can afford to get both, I would get both and sell the one you don't like as much on the board (I agree that they would be more similar phones than complementary phones - either one would get scooped up right away). The MS1's, I feel, are still a bit more forward and does rock quite well. The DR150's are much more balanced with a bit of forwardness. I know I'm not helping out very much here, but for what it's worth I don't think you have made a bad decision either way. Good luck!

DR150s are great for rock and hip-hop if that`s what you listen to...
